We have successfully survived the first week of summer. Being me, I usually do a little planning to organize the days and make sure we do lots of fun things, get things done, and avoid hours of T.V. So in FHE we make lists and post them, like "I'm bored things to do", friends to have over, daily schedule, etc. I try to have something for each day as well, like Monday is craft day, Thursday is cooking class, Friday is Fun Day. We really won't follow the schedule much until swimming is over, because that takes up so much time. This Thursday was our first cooking class, and Madison was so excited! She really wants to learn to cook. Spencer enjoys anything that involves food. Our first lesson was "Stove top 101". The 2 big kids learned to make scrambled eggs, and then a brownie recipe that makes part of the batter and the frosting on the stove top. I believe the class was a success, and look forward to future Thursdays!
P.S. Not to be left out, Ella insisted on learning to use the toaster. She has been a toasting maniac ever since!

What great ideas! I want copies of your lists for next summer, and let me know if you ever open up your classes to non-Wagleys. I could use one of your stovetop lessons. :)
