We started our touring at the National Zoo. The pandas were awesome!
During a little break on the mall, Spencer found a four leaf clover. Here's the proof. Honestly, I thought they were mythical. All the time I spent searching for one as a child, and Spencer just glances down and finds one! We took that for a good omen on our first day of vacation, especially the week of St. Patrick's day.
The one thing Lydia wanted to see was the White House. Spencer was convinced she was going to leave there in handcuffs. There were police everywhere, and she is a wild woman, so it was not outside the realm of possibility. But all the security we met were nice, and answered all our touristy questions.
