Today stinks

Spencer - 8th grade

Madison - 6th grade

Ella -3rd grade

I don't like when my kids go back to school. This year I have 2 in middle school, which gives me a fair amount of anxiety. Volunteering at the elementary and going to lunch with friends helped some. We have been pretty busy today, but Lydia doesn't like when the kids go back to school, either. She will have one whole week alone before she starts preschool. In her mind, it is totally unfair that the big kids get to go and she doesn't. Spencer thinks it is totally unfair that he has to go to school at all. And that, my friends, is the difference between a 14 year old and a 4 year old.

Who are these people? These are not your kids... or else it has been longer that 8 months (wow that's awhile) since we've seen them. All of them look so grown up.
I am sure that sending them off stinks... although I have been found wishing that Cade could go to school for maybe on day or even just an afternoon each week. How is one suppose to get anything accomplished (besides of course the most important things like parenting :)!) with a curious and very involved toddler around?
